Unbox Robotics

A 3D animated brand film explaining Unbox Robotics' robotic sorting technology and its role within automated logistics operations.

Project brief
How do you explain a robotic sorting system to customers who don't necessarily understand the engineering behind it? A warehouse sorting system involves robots, packages, software, movement and logistics workflows. Showing only the robot doesn't explain the proposition. Unbox needed a communication approach that could make the complete system understandable.

Project Complexity
Visualising the Entire Automation Workflow

‍

Hyve approached the Unbox Robotics project by treating the warehouse as a system. The objective was not simply to create an attractive animation of the robot. The objective was to show how the technology fits into the logistics operation.

‍

From Hardware to System

‍

3D allowed the robotic sorting infrastructure to be reconstructed digitally and placed inside a controlled warehouse environment. This gave the team the freedom to demonstrate movement, sorting and system interaction from multiple viewpoints.

‍

Making Technical Information Accessible

‍

UI and motion graphics were incorporated to communicate additional information. Instead of presenting specifications as text, the film uses visual cues to explain what is happening.

This creates a bridge between:

Physical robotics → software → warehouse workflow → business value.

‍

Result

‍

The finished film gives Unbox Robotics a visual explanation of its technology that can be understood by both technical and non-technical audiences. The project is a strong example of how 3D animation can be used to explain warehouse automation and robotics without turning the content into an engineering presentation.
