For robotics companies, explaining complex products at busy industry events can be challenging. Sales representatives often need to communicate multiple products, technologies, functions, and solutions, sometimes within just a few minutes. Traditional brochures and static presentations provide valuable information, but they can make it difficult to quickly demonstrate how a robotic system actually works. Traditional video formats required constant attention, missing a single point in a video requires the whole video to be rewatched, or constant scrubbing of the timeline to replay relevant portions.
To simplify this, Hyve Studio created a series of 3D animation loops in Cinema 4D. These short animations demonstrated product functions, workflows, and technologies visually, making complex systems easier to understand without relying on lengthy explanations. The choice of making these infinite loops was to make the visual a background element supporting a conversation that could be of varying length, depending on the viewer's interests and questions. nstead of simply describing what a product does, sales representatives could show it in action.
The animations were brought together with product information in a digital product catalogue and interactive sales interface, designed and prototyped in Figma. The interface allowed sales representatives to quickly navigate between products, technologies, and solutions while speaking with potential customers. This turned the content from something customers simply viewed into something they could actively explore.
Figma prototyping helped structure the navigation, information hierarchy, and overall user flow before finalising the experience. This ensured that important information could be accessed quickly and the sales conversation could remain focused. We made a conscious decision to remove any scrolling functionality from the prototype, and to keep all information in a particular tab visible on the screen at all times. The intention was to keep the interactions simple, and without distraction.
The goal wasn't to replace brochures, but to create a more dynamic tool for situations where visual explanation matters. With an interactive experience, sales representatives could:
